There’s no one size fits all solution for treatment needs. The length of your treatment can depend on several factors such as how many hours of therapy you have per week, the other services and supports you’re working with to maximize your outcomes, your starting place and desired finish line. One thing we can guarantee is that we help you establish goals that are achievable in the timeframe you have to work on them! At the PATHways centre, we start each client with a 12-week treatment plan. This allows us to set goals that are achievable within those 12 weeks, and mid-way through, we’ll discuss how progress is being made, and what your next steps could be. If you choose to continue with new goals or fine-tuning the ones you’ve achieved, another 12-week plan will be created.
ABA therapy is a scientific approach focused on applying principles of behaviour to improve socially significant behaviours. We use techniques such as positive reinforcement to increase desired behaviours and teach functional skills. Each behaviour and skill is observed and measured, allowing us to tailor interventions to meet individual needs effectively.

In Ontario, Registered Social Workers (RSWs) play a crucial role in supporting individuals, families, and communities through a diverse range of services designed to promote well-being and social justice. RSWs in Ontario are trained professionals who assess, diagnose, and treat mental health and emotional disorders; provide counseling and psychotherapy; and assist clients in coping with various life challenges. They must be registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), which ensures they adhere to professional standards and continue their education to stay current with best practices. Their work is guided by a commitment to social justice, equity, and the dignity and worth of every person.
Social workers provide services to individuals, couples, families, groups, and communities. Many Social Workers in private practice provide different types of counselling or psychotherapy, while others specialize in areas like grief counselling, couples counselling, childhood trauma or phobias. Our social workers offer a variety of therapies including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and many more.
No. You can self-refer to the PATHways centre. You’ll meet with one of our service navigators who will help determine which services you’re interested in, what funding supports are available for you and connect you with the right clinicians for your first meeting.
We utilize several automated and online systems to establish goals, track progress and send out updates. We look at both the small wins day by day that our clients achieve, while also keeping in mind the big goals they have and returning often to them to show how their daily effort is getting them closer to their end goals! We share our progress and insights regularly with other care providers to ensure consistent and collaborative recommendations, we share monthly updates with families and clients and every 6 months, a client will receive a formal progress report that outlines successes and makes recommendations for continued next steps.
Our clients are the centre of all things that we do - their voice, interests, preferences and feelings provide direction on what, when, and how often we’ll meet. But rest assured, family members, important friends and other care providers are active members of our client’s teams! We work collaboratively to ensure that everyone important to our client is on the same page to be the supports they need feel connected, accepted and supported on their path to wellness.
We offer hourly service rates for those that would like to commit to 12-week plans, as well as packages that combine multi-disiciplianry services and offer incentives for those looking to purchase longer term service plans. See our pricing list for more information.
